I have subscribed to email updates from
French-Word-A-Day
for three years, and I have never been disappointed.

In addition to French vocabulary lessons, there are also fine
photographs-- of French villages,  and the author's life in France--
which are added three times a week.

If you want to sharpen your French vocabulary, or just want to
get a taste of life in France, this is a good website to visit.
    Not long ago,  I searched
     the internet for yarn patterns
for kntting a Chanel style jacket.

     I clicked on the
"GO CHANEL
     OR GO HOME"
link because
     it looked interesting.

I found the website to be very
     informative, as  there are also
links to all of the Sew-Along Bloggers.

There are also very useful links
to fabric stores & resources for trims,
all of which are useful, whether you
     decide to
GO CHANEL or to GO HOME.

    This website is also generously
     illustrated with
color photographs,
and includes many step by step
     illustrations for every aspect of
     constructing a CHANEL jacket.

"You know you don't have to act with me, Steve.  You don't have to say anything, and you don't have to do anything--not a thing.  Oh, maybe just whistle.  You know how to whistle, don't you  Steve?  You just put your lips together and blow. "

It is always interesting to read Lindsay T. Sews (Again). Her comments about her current sewing projects,
like her faux Chanel jacket, are always helpful, and her blog also serves as a resource for fabric and trim stores
(New York City and online), patterns and pattern reviews, and so on.

Lindsay says " I write about shopping in New York City's garment district for fabric, buttons, trim, notions and
more.  I love to sew my own clothes, and I'll share the good, the bad and the ugly with you here.  Expect a
a few random things to pop up too, like surviving my kids'  teenage years, my passion for Chanel jackets,
or the thrill of finding a really good bargain."

Among her links and sources that I found to be particularly helpful are:

  M & J Trimming, Mood Fabrics,

Tojo Shoji (where you can find the right chain to properly weight the hem of  your Chanel jacket!)

Gorgeous Fabrics and--through a link--Emma One Sock (Fabrics).
